Cold Water Kayaking

The activity takes place on the Grande Décharge River, the presence of the hydroelectric dam provides access to a section of water that does not freeze over a distance of 4 km. Spring kayaking is a must-do experience in our region.

Safety is ensured by the supervision of an experienced sea kayak guide and the use of duo sea kayaks, which are more stable than solos. A preparatory meeting before departure will allow participants to learn about the use of the equipment and the risks associated with the activity.

• Distance: Up to 8 km
• Duration: Half-day (March 14 and 28, 2020)
• Departure from Alma, on the Grande-Décharge river.
• The activity can take place under the condition of an outside temperature of -10 ° C or warmer.
• Group of 2 to 6 people per outing
