The day before

Departure from Quebec in the afternoon. Rendez-vous et Hôtel Le Concorde or at l’Hôtel Charles Alexandre. The time of departure of the shuttle will be given as soon as the group is confirmed.

Day 1 = Pointe Taillon National Park – Dolbeau Mistassini (36 km on bike)

After taking possession of your bike rental and met your travel agent, a shuttle drop you off at the entry of Pointe Taillon National Park. This is where you start your biking adventure. For your first day, you ride a complete tour of the beautiful Park. Welcome to a unique landscape with its endless beaches perfect for swimmers. Watch around! You might meet a beaver or a moose.  At shuttle pick you up at the end of your tour to transport you to Dolbeau Mistassini. You cross numerous blueberry fields and the historic site of the old Mill. Once arrived at the destination, have a taste on the fabulous Chocolate Pères Trappistes and enjoy a good local beer at the microbrewery «Le Coureur des Bois».

DAY 2 = Dolbeau Mistassini-Chambord (38.7 km on bike)

After your breakfast, your guide bring you to the village Albanel to visit the shop-museum «Les Délices Du Lac». You will discover the history and the manufactoring process of wild blueberry, symbol of Dolbeau Mistassini. At St Félicien you take back the road by bike to continue to Chambord where you will change of ages spending the night at Val Jalbert village.

JOUR 3 = Chambord-St Gédéon (42 km on bike)

You have all the morning to visit the historical village of Val Jalbert with its ancien paper mill from 1900. At the highest point of view in the cable car you will observe the immensity of the lake.

Get on your bike in direction of St Gédéon. You will enjoy the wonderful beaches and maybe you will have the chance to admire a beautiful sunset.

DAY 4 = St Gédéon- Fjord du Saguenay- La Baie

It's time to change activities and breath the sea air. 2 options are offered for you to discover the majestic Fjord of Saguenay National Park.

OPTION 1: by land

Drop off by Shuttle at Fjord Saguenay national park, where you choose between one of these activities:  hiking or via Ferrata.

 Hiking of La Statue with 2 different itineraries of your choice
To Halte Bellevue (3.6km,2h roundtrip) or to the statue (7.6km,3 à 4h roundtrip)
Via Ferrata:  2 itineraries recommended of your choice: Les grandes Dalles (4h) or La Passerelle (3h)
  • St Gédéon-National Fjord du Saguenay (130 km, 2h)
  • Parc National Fjord du Saguenay-La Baie (43 km, 40 min.)

OPTION 2: by ferry

Get on board on the Ferry to discover the impressive Fjord Saguenay.

Ferry: La Baie-Sainte Rose Du nord-La Baie.

Stopover at Sainte Rose du Nord, one of the most beautiful villages of Quebec. Then, admire the impressive Baie Éternité with its vertiginious mountains as Cap trinity cliff, famous among climbers. You will see as well Notre Dame du Saguenay Statue.

DAY 5 = La Baie-Tadoussac (35 km à vélo- 6 km of hiking)

It's time for a hiking of 8 km in Baie Sainte Marguerite, an unmissable attraction of the region for beluga's observation. This wonderful Baie benefits a high protection due to the presence of small whites whales who made their place to raise their babies. You leave from ``Centre de découverte et de service du Beluga`` to get at the viewpoint ``halte du Beluga``. From there you may have the chance to observe them.

After these wonderfull contemplations, it's time to get back on your bike to for 30 km to Tadoussac.

DAY 6 = Tadoussac

Day free

Enjoy this day to relax in the smal Tadoussac village. Located at the confluence of river Saguenay and St Laurent, Tadoussac is without any doubts the most puplar places for whale watching. You'll be charmed by the warmth and festive atmosphere surrounded by one of the most prettiest Bays in the world. Many options are offerd : hiking, zodiac...

DAY 7 = Tadoussac-La Malbaie -Baie St Paul- Québec

On the morning, a ferry drop you off to the other shore. This day you cross by shuttle Charlevoix region ending at Québec city. Your guide will show you typical places of the area. You will experience the atmosphere of Baie St Paul which comes alive during summer with its streets full of artists, local handcraft shops and arts galleries.

After 200km of driving by shuttle with many stopovers, it's time to stretch your legs in Montmorency Falls Park, located only at 15 minutes from Québec. You will choose to discover the Falls hights by walk or by cable car.

Your stay will end at Quebec city where you will pass the night.

s What is a personalized departure?

A personalized departure is custom-made solution based on your needs. You therefore choose the departure date that suits you best. You will have a private preparation meeting according to your itinerary. Only your group will be present during this meeting.

This is the only type of departure available at Equinox Aventure. We do not have a fixed date departure. We do not offer the option to create groups with people traveling alone, the responsibility of forming a group rests on the customer before booking with us.

s What happens in case of bad weather?

In case of bad weather, our activities still hold. Therefore, we recommend that you bring appropriate clothing for any type of weather.

s Can I show up at any time ?

We operate several type of activities at the same time. So, in order to respect our schedule and to be able to welcome all our customers as they should, it is preferable to respect the arrival time that has been assigned to you for your activity.

If it is not possible for you to meet this schedule, please contact our team in order to find another time that may be suitable for everyone.

s Would there be restaurants on the road?

Most towns and villages around Lac Saint-Jean have at least one restaurant, a small market or a convenience store. However, some sections of the Blueberry Tril can be more isolated. Also, some restaurants may have unusual opening hours. When this is the case, we provide you with all the necessary information before you it the road.

s What is included in the igloft and do I need to bring anything?

The iglofts are equipped with bedding, dishes, utensils, pots, firewood and 10 liters of drinking water. Therefore, you do not have any specific equipment to bring, except for your personal belongings. An exhaustive list as a reminder concerning the belongings to bring in your luggage will be sent to you when you make your reservation.

s Can I book over the phone?

To avoid telephone traffic and potential errors due to misunderstandings, reservations are made on our website via the appropriate platform for the desired service.

s Are there bottle cages on the bikes?

Our bikes have bottle holders, with the exception of electric, children's and some hybrid bikes.

In order to avoid any misunderstanding, you can mention in the comments when making your reservation that you want a bicycle with a bottle holder.

s Do I have to bring food?

The evening meal and a continental breakfast are included in the reservation. You can still bring snacks and drinks, if you want to. We leave this choice to the discretion of the customers.

s Are there racks on the bikes?

Cyclocross bikes all have a rack for panniers.

Hybrid bikes have, for the most part, racks for panniers.

Road bikes do not have a rack for panniers.

Electric bikes do not have a rack for panniers.

Children's bikes do not have a rack for the panniers.

s Is the rack included with the panniers?

Racks are not included with the rental of panniers. You must therefore have a rack on your own bike.


As an alternative, we have some small panniers that can be installed on the handlebars. We also have a few racks that can be rented, however these are not compatible with all types of bikes, depending on your bike frame structure.

s Is it possible to have the support of Equinox Aventure if problems occurs on the road?

The supervision of Equinox Aventure in the event of problems on the road during your trip is only included for customers on a turnkey package.

s When should I tell your team about what equipment I will need?

To be sure that you will have access to the equipment you need (panniers, repair kit, etc.) on the day of your departure, we recommend that you let us know as soon as possible or during your reservation in order to be able to reserve these items for your trip.

s Am I entitled to Equinox Adventure information documents when using the luggage shuttle service?

We can provide you with a Lac-Saint-Jean map when you drop off your luggages. However, more detailed documents such as the list of tourist attractions, detailed maps of the Blueberry Trail, etc., are only available to customers on turnkey packages.

We recommend that you stop at tourist information offices for more information about the region.

s Are there toilets on the road?

Most of the municipalities around Lac-Saint-Jean have rest stops and sanitary blocks accessible for cyclists. You can therefore easily have access to these services near the Blueberry Trail throughout your trip.

We will give you all the information you need on this subject during the preparation meeting, including a list of the restaurants and grocery stores that are the easiest to access for cyclists. There are food and beverage outlets available along the route. However, some establishments are seasonal and may not be in operation at the time of your visit.

s In what does the support offered by Equinox Aventure consist of?

Our support ensures that you can escape with peace of mind. If there are any problems, you can contact us and we will find a solution for you. We can, for example, offer a bicycle replacement in the event of mechanical breakdown or transport in the event of an injury on the road.

We also provide you with the necessary tools so that you can remain independent in the event of a minor breakage such as a flat tire.

s The prices displayed on your site are in what currency?

We only use the Canadian dollar (CAD). The final cost in your currency will therefore depend on the prevailing rates and the policies of your financial institution.

s What equipment is provided during a bike rental?

The regular bike rental includes the bike of your choice, the protective helmet and a lock. The bike rental package also includes a basic repair kit and luggage bags (12 L). These are also available during a regular rental for a small supplement.

s What taxes are applicable to the purchase of a package ?

Our products are subject to the federal goods and services tax (GST, 5%), Quebec sales taxes (QST, 9.975%), the tax on lodging (3.5% per night in lodging) as well a contribution to the compensation fund for clients of travel agents (Ficav, 0.35%) which is subject to the discount applicable since January 1, 2019.

s How to make a reservation ?

For groups of 6 people or more, reservations can be made by phone at 1-888-668-7381.

s What is the difference between a guided and self-guided package?

When a package is said to be guided, a private guide will accompany you throughout the journey. You must follow it on the trails to know your route.

When a package is said to be self-guided, a guide explains your itinerary to you during a preparation meeting before departure. You receive all the information about your trip, where to stay and what to do, before you leave. The trail maps are given to you to then set off on the trails independently. The guide does not accompany you on the trip, but Equinox Adventure support is available should anything go wrong.

s How far in advance must I make a reservation for the guided snowmobile ride?
