Security

Your safety is important to us. With this in mind, all Equinox Aventure employees have taken first aid training from the Red Cross and have a level 1 sea kayaking certificate awarded by a trainer from Canoe-Kayak Québec.

In addition, rules are put in place to ensure the safety of our users. Here are the criteria for renting sea kayaks:

  • There must be at least 1 adult to supervise each rental;
  • No child aged 12 or younger can rent a solo kayak. It is preferable to use a duo kayak accompanied by an adult;
  • No solo kayak will be sent alone on the lake (minimum 2 people for the rental of solo kayaks);
  • Weight limitation: duo kayak 420 lbs in total (190 kg) and solo kayak 230 lbs (104 kg).

Online reservations 24 hours in advance

In the context of the pandemic, Equinox Aventure strongly encourages online reservations 24 hours in advance (without deposit). These can be done by phone at (418) 720-6663 or on our website.

By booking online, you accept the risks related to the chosen nautical activity.
We encourage people with cold and flu symptoms not to use our services.

Due to the changing weather conditions of Lac Saint-Jean, here is what we recommend in terms of reservation procedures:

  • Preferably book a few days in advance without deposit by phone or on our website.
  • To reduce the risks on the water, the outings will be self-guided only and will take place on days when the water is calm (when the wind is less than 20 km / h).
  • On the day of departure, it is important to check the weather conditions with us or on
  • Environment Canada at (418) 669-5055.
  • If the conditions are good, complete the reservation and make the payment on our website.
  • Do not forget to bring proof of payment (receipt or email) on the day of the activity.
  • It is also possible to pay on site, using the BRM mobile app.

* Equipment cannot be moved outside the site *

Conditions related to Covid-19

  • Note that there will be no changing room on site.
  • We invite our customers to consult the cancellation policy for more information.
