About Us

Company presentation

🌟 Established in Alma, Saguenay—Lac-Saint-Jean, and active since 2008, Équinox Aventure was initially launched in 1991 as an outdoor equipment rental company.

It all started on the shores of Lac Saint-Jean, where three young men, animated by an entrepreneurial spirit, offered kayak rentals, outdoor equipment, and bicycles.

Over the seasons, the expectations and demands of vacationers have evolved. In 2008, the company responded to these needs by creating its very first package! It was the first time a cyclist toured Lac-Saint-Jean as part of an Équinox Aventure package.

Our services include:

  • ✔️ meticulously planned itineraries,
  • 🛶 equipment rental service,
  • 👨‍💼 our professional assistance,
  • 🛄 and luggage transportation.

At the end of the trip, Équinox Aventure had its very first satisfied customer.

Since then, Équinox Aventure has evolved to become the four-season travel agency you know today.

Our company specializes in outdoor activities and soft adventures.

Our team explores the best playgrounds in the region to develop an interesting and suitable tourist offer, regardless of the time of year.

Our trips mainly come in the form of self-guided packages, but also in other forms, always innovating, in addition to offering many activities for all tastes, and always with a turnkey recipe.

With the assistance of our team, the practice of outdoor activities is supervised and safe, all in the spirit of fun and according to our reliable and flexible experience designed to offer the greatest possible freedom.

Our mission:

To offer sustainable adventure tourism trips, focused on ecotourism, to discover the Saguenay—Lac-Saint-Jean region, while contributing to positive impacts on society and the local economy.🌱

Vision and Values

Vision: To become a reference in the organization and supervision of trips focused on adventure tourism, ecotourism, responsible and sustainable tourism, in accordance with the World Tourism Ethics Code.
