This package offers you the opportunity to explore, during a four-day expedition, the majestic Péribonka River, lined with monumental walls, which is the main tributary of the Piékouagami.

You will have the chance to observe sections of the river untouched by man, preserved in their wild state. You will paddle down and explore kilometers of beaches and meanders in sea kayaks, accompanied by experienced and friendly kayakers who will guide you in a camaraderie atmosphere, while ensuring your safety through their first aid training provided by the Red Cross.

During your stay, you will be introduced to paddling techniques and learn several essential safety measures for sea kayaking. Your guide will show you beautiful places rich in history while allowing you to immerse yourself and relax safely on this superb river.

  • Distance: 15 km to 25 km per day
  • Formula: Guided - 1 main guide + 1 assistant guide depending on the number of people

    DAY 1

    • Meet at our agency in Alma at 8:00 a.m. for a shuttle departure to the launch site.
    • Arrive at 10:30 a.m. at Péribonka IV dam.
    • Safety instructions and introduction to paddling techniques.
    • 12:00 p.m.: Lunch by the riverbank.
    • Arrive at the Birch Lake pier and visit the waterfall.
    • Dinner preparation, campfire, and bedtime.
    • Distance covered: between 20 km and 25 km.

    DAY 2

    • Breakfast.
    • 09:00 a.m.: Departure in sea kayaks.
    • Visit channels and bays, possibility of seeing moose.
    • Around 11:00 a.m.: Start of the cliffs (400 m rocky walls).
    • 12:00 p.m.: Lunch by the cliffs.
    • Arrive at Six Miles camp (former logging camp).
    • Dinner preparation, campfire, entertainment, and bedtime.
    • Distance covered: between 20 km and 25 km.

    DAY 3

    • Breakfast.
    • 09:00 a.m.: Departure in sea kayaks.
    • Visit the oldest recorded yellow birch in Quebec.
    • 12:00 p.m.: Lunch on a sandy beach.
    • Arrive at the Guards Bay.
    • Dinner preparation, campfire, entertainment, and bedtime.
    • Distance covered: between 15 km and 25 km.

    DAY 4

    • Hiking to discover an old forestry path.
    • 09:00 a.m.: Departure in sea kayaks.
    • 12:00 p.m.: Lunch by the riverbank.
    • 02:00 p.m.: Arrival at the call point of Lake Tchitogama.
    • 03:00 p.m.: Return by shuttle vehicle to Équinox Adventure agency in Alma.
    • Distance covered: between 15 km and 20 km.
