Nautical Equipment Rental

• Reservations are made online and must be done at least 24 hours before the rental.
• For any rental duration, Lake Saint-Jean is the only body of water where the equipment can be used.

(Full payment upon reservation and refund according to our terms of sale).

• Possibility to make a reservation directly on site with the BRM mobile application.
• Please note that you will not have any guarantee of product availability if you do not make an official reservation 24 hours in advance.
• Please come to reception to pick up your equipment and receive instructions.
• There must be at least one adult to supervise each rental.
• No child under 12 years old can rent a solo kayak (it is preferable to use a tandem kayak accompanied by an adult).
• No solo kayak will be sent out on the lake alone. (Minimum 2 people for solo kayak rentals).

• 11 am to 7 pm every day (from June 22nd to June 30th)

• 9 am to 7 pm every day (from July 1st to August 31st)

• September: open on weekends

Equinox Adventure strongly encourages online reservations 24 hours in advance.

Please note that we reserve the right to close at any time, without notice, depending on weather conditions.

• Central compartment of kayak duo: Minimum 7 years
• Regular SUP: Minimum 16 years to go alone
• Children's SUP: 6 years and up

Opening hours for Îles du Lac Saint-Jean campsites : 

- Site pick-up from 3:00 pm

- Mandatory departure before 2:00 p.m.

We offer the following complementary services to Connelly Island, Petite Île Verte and Île des Cauchons

• Guide service: For two hours, a guide will accompany you to interpret the history of the islands and Lac Saint-Jean before dropping you off at your campsite.

• Luggage shuttle: We transport your luggage to your platform. You'll need to drop off your luggage between 2 and 4 pm and pick it up at the end of your stay at our rental center between 2 and 5 pm.

         - The shuttle service includes a round trip to one island only. If you wish to travel between Connelly Island and Petite Île Verte, please let us know                                                                                                                   - The shuttle service is booked per boat (for two kayak duos, you must select the luggage transport option for both boats).

• Camping kit: You can rent a camping kit for the duration of your stay. This kit includes all the camping equipment necessary for two people, as well as equipment for cooking your meals:

        - This kit includes the following equipment: 

  - 1 2-seater tent

  - 2 sleeping bags

  - 2 self-inflating sleeping mats

  - 2 crockery kits 

  - 2 pots

  - 1 kitchen utensil kit

  - 1 propane stove

  - 1 propane tank

  - 2 camping chairs

In the interests of safety and compliance with AEQ standards, Equinox Aventure must limit the number of self-guided outings so as not to endanger our customers: 

- For all rental requests of more than one day to Île Beemer or Île Boulianne, please send your requests to the following address: kayak@equinoxaventure.ca

- For Stand Up Paddle rental requests of more than one day, please send your requests to the following address: kayak@equinoxaventure.ca

- A person renting a solo sea kayak (1 place) may venture into the Îles sector only: 

     - if accompanied by another solo or duo sea kayak

     - If accompanied by a guide to take them to their campsite.

- Equinox Aventure does not rent boats to the Saguenay Fjord.

- Equinox Aventure does not rent Stand Up Paddle or lake canoes for more than one day.
